Daytona Beach, FL — January 27, 2026 — Professional race car driver and community advocate Alli Owens proudly announces a renewed partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), marking a powerful full-circle moment nearly 20 years in the making.
In 2006, Owens partnered with the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the IBEW to launch ElectrifyingCareers.com, an apprenticeship-based platform designed to introduce young people to career opportunities in the electrical trades. As Owens traveled to schools across the country, she shared her own journey and encouraged students—especially those seeking an alternative path—to consider skilled trades as a viable, rewarding career.
Now, nearly two decades later, that mission is being reignited through a new partnership with IBEW Local 756, bringing Owens back to her roots in workforce development and education.
“This partnership allows me to pick up right where I left off,” said Owens. “The trades gave me a sense of purpose early in my life, and I’m excited to once again help create pathways for young people—and especially women—who are looking for meaningful, stable careers.”
Through this renewed collaboration, Owens and IBEW Local 756 will focus on engaging Volusia County senior high school students, introducing them to apprenticeship opportunities as they prepare to graduate this May. The initiative will also place a strong emphasis on women in the trades, building a welcoming platform that not only attracts new talent but also supports and connects women currently working within the industry.
“I’m especially excited to learn more about the innovative ways the IBEW is growing its workforce today,” Owens added. “Seeing how much progress has been made in creating space and opportunity for women in the trades is inspiring, and I’m honored to be part of that continued evolution.”
The partnership will be showcased during Owens’ participation in the Daytona ARCA 200 and throughout the ARCA Menards Series, using motorsports as a high-impact platform to spark conversations about careers, apprenticeships, and workforce development.
By combining the reach of professional motorsports with hands-on education and mentorship, the partnership aims to inspire the next generation of electricians, leaders, and skilled trades professionals—while honoring the legacy that started it all.
